RedFest (Redland Spring Festival) is seeking a highly skilled, organised, self-motivated, enthusiastic and professional administration professional to join the team.

$25.00 per hour (part-time – hours negotiable) 

About RedFest:

RedFest is an annual music and cultural festival held in September in Cleveland, just 25 minutes east of Brisbane on beautiful Moreton Bay. It is Redland City’s premier event and boasts musicians and artists from across the globe.

RedFest is a not-for-profit community organisation – a festival delivered by the community, for the community. It is NOT a Council event.

For two and half days, Redlands Showground becomes a magical blaze of colour, a symphony of beautiful sounds and celebration of our amazing community. Hundreds of the world’s best performers – singers, dancers, poets, artists – come to Redlands to entertain and share their skills across multiple venues with a jammed packed program. 

About the Job:

As the Administration Officer for RedFest, you will report directly to the President/Festival Director and the Board/Committee to ensure that the festival is successfully delivered each year.

This position has a strong focus on ensuring efficient and effective delivery of all festival logistics, administration and compliance. This includes the successful development of applications for performers, vendor and volunteers. This position will also be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and coordinating contracts/agreements, rosters and schedules for the artists, vendors and volunteers ensuring that all documentation is received and processed to council and other government agencies in a timely and efficient manner.

This position will also see you assisting with the development of the communication and marketing plans, website maintenance and updates, sponsorship proposals, grant writing, event management planning and coordination of all office administration as part of the festival requirements.

As the Administration Officer, you will also assist the secretary by preparing for board/committee meetings, processing the inwards/outwards correspondence, assisting the committee to meet the strategic planning action items, developing meeting documentation and other administration tasks as required.

You will also be required to assist the Treasurer with tasks such as receiving and processing payments from vendors, banking and other such duties as required.

About the Applicant:

We are looking for a strong, self-motivated, organised, enthusiastic, proactive and efficient individual who has administration and festival and event experience.

The successful applicant will have strong administration skills including advanced Microsoft office suite experience, have the ability to create, monitor and maintain complex excel spreadsheets, have the skills to create and coordinate rosters, have a good knowledge of artist coordination and understand festival and event protocols.

The ideal applicant will have the ability to be multi-focused, have strong time management skills, high attention to detail skills, ability to work autonomously and take direction, be an dynamic team player and also be able to work under pressure.

It is essential that the successful applicant has experience with using drop box/data sharing software. The successful applicant will also need strong communication skills, professional email and phone etiquette, marketing and promotion experience and grant writing capabilities.

As the Administration Officer, you will have a strong understanding of the organisations vision and a shared desire to create a safe, efficient festival which will see the entire community come together to celebrate the diversity of Redland City’s strong art, music, culture and community spirit.

The successful applicant will also be required to assist during the festival weekend in a volunteer capacity along with the 100+ volunteers.
