The ultimate weekend kicks off in spectacular fashion with Irish bands, dancing and fireworks!

RedFest is kicking things off in fine style on Friday night with an infusion of Irish cheer! So get your jig dancing shoes on and come and enjoy the ‘craic’ with music from Mark Cryle and Carmel Newman, Murphy’s Pigs, and Sásta. There will also be a spectacular fireworks display this year on Friday night in addition to the traditional Saturday night display!

Our host for the night will be authentic Irishman, Derek Farrell, who will regale you with his prodigious wit.  Derek is also a very talented songwriter and musician.

Those who love Celtic music are in for a treat with three fantastic acts, starting off with the acclaimed Mark Cryle and Carmel Newman who will perform a rich blend of traditional Celtic tunes and their own repertoire that will dazzle, engage and entertain.

Then we heat things up with the multi-award winning Celtic-rock ensemble Murphy’s Pigs who promise to have you singing your heart out, stamping your feet and dancing like a loon! Murphy’s Pigs have performed at some mighty fine gigs including the world’s largest Celtic Festival, the Woodford Folk Festival, The Tamworth Country Music Festival and even as guests of the Queensland Pops Orchestra to name but a few!

We finish the night of Gaelic festivities with Sásta - the most dynamic Irish band in Australia who have made a huge impact on the Irish music scene. The band is made up of four multi-instrumentalists who have performed at the highest national level. Sasta will be accompanied by world class Irish dancers who will show us how to dance a reel in style!

Come and grab a Guiness at the bar, enjoy this wonderful night of entertainment and kick off your RedFest weekend in fine Irish style!
